There are many local general sporting goods and specialty lacrosse stores as well as many online vendors that sell any lacrosse equipment you may need for your children.  Information regarding several vendors with links are available below.  Information regarding recommended equipment for youth lacrosse is also available through the US Lacrosse link.

If you have a new player, or you as a parent is new to the sport, it is recommended that you visit one of the local lacrosse specialty stores (such as Universal Lacrosse south of the Bridgewater circle on Rt 206 S).  It is important that your child understand how each piece of equipment is meant to fit to ensure the proper protection.  Employees in these specialty stores are typically very familiar with the game of lacrosse and will help you ensure proper fitting of all equipment.

Label your Equipment

We strongly encourage that every player label every piece of equipment.  You want to make sure that if something gets left behind, the person who finds it can easily determine who it belongs to so you can get it back.

Helmets: Write the name on a piece of tape and place it on the outside of the helmet;coaches also use the tape (with name) to help identify players

Arm guards shoulder pads and gloves: Use a Sharpie and get at least a last name on a tag;

Sticks: Use a Sharpie and write name and phone number on the shaft;

Gear bags: Use a bag tag, a piece of paper inside the bag, or a piece of tape on the outside of the bag with your full contact information.

Mouth Guards: Stock up on mouth guards, we recommend you buy several at a time, as they get lost very easily and in fact many boys chew through them.  Every player is required to wear one and no one is permitted to practice or play games without one.

Water Bottles: SHLC recommends that all of our registrants come to every game and practice with their own water bottle.
